Our Lighted Whips incorporate the finest quality High output LED's manufactured with the newest state of the Art Technology. The life expectancy on the LED’s we use is well over 50,000 hours. These LED’s draw very little current compared to the amount of light they put out. Theses whips are Super bright!.
Our whips are made of very tough yet flexible clear poly carbonate tubing. The LED’s are mounted on the new flexible circuit board technology that enable them to be very flexible yet durable enough to withstand the harsh elements that we all subject our off road vehicles to.
Our mounts are made of Hi Grade aluminum with stainless steel threads.
They are designed with the power wires coming out the side of the aluminum mount but we can also design the power cord to drop down thru the center of the mounting bolt instead of the wires coming out the side of the whip. A small RCA power plug can be installed that will fit thru the ½ inch mounting tab on your off road vehicle. Then you can wire another RCA plug to your 12 volt system. You can use the plug to power the whip on and off or add a switch. You’ve probably experienced the problems associated with sand, dirt, mud and electrical connections. That’s why we’ve designed ours so that if the connectors ever become corroded or caked with sand, dirt or mud you can easily replace the plug with a new inexpensive connector available at any Radio Shack or electrical supply. You’ll also want to install a 5 amp fuse between the Whip and your battery.
Just be careful not to exceed 14.4 volts.
